I guess everybody has done the delete and forgot at this point. I *think* the diagram on czp website is wrong, and the valve allows pressure from the intake into the canister, instead of being routed through the solenoid as the diagram on czp shows, but if anybody knows for sure, would love confirmation. I changed the direction from the picture I showed above to allow pressure from the manifold to flow into the canister directly.
